Highland Game prides itself on being the only wild Venison producer to offer 100% veterinary inspection; this gives the customer a level of confidence never offered before in this market. Highland Game operates under a HACCP system, identifying hazards and putting in place preventative measures. This allows us to avoid any food safety hazards throughout the production process. Highland Game is EEC approved and trades under EEC export approval number UK 1178 EEC. Highland Game is also a member of the SQWV (Scottish Quality Wild Venison Accreditation Scheme).The purpose of this Accreditation Scheme is to give Scottish Wild Venison a level of Quality Assurance and Traceability that has never been done before. In turn this allows us to pass the extra peace of mind to the customer. SQWV accreditation means that venison processed under the SQWV title can only come from SQWV approved larders and be processed at SQWV approved premises.Highland Game is also BRC accredited.
