Game Chef Of The Year Competition 2013

This year’s launch took place at Drumlanrig Castle on Aug 13th for the first shoot of the year. Game Keepers and staff from the estate are enthusiastic and supportive of their young chef, who is a keen contender.

Chefs who think that they have the creative and innovative flair in their recipes and presentation abilities are encouraged to enter the competition with the chance of being crowned the UK’s Game Chef of the year 2013. Entry deadline 30th of November 2012. The panel of judges include Tom Kitchin, Martin Wishart. Ian McAndrew and Joe Queen.

Highland Game was delighted to take the 2012 winner, Brian Macgregor wild boar shooting in Sweden in February this year. Once again, Highland Game is organising a wild board shooting trip to Sweden in February 2013 for the winner of the Game Chef of the Year 2013 title.

Highland Game is keen to see Chefs cook venison and game in new innovative and exiting ways. Highland Game is inviting and encouraging Chefs to learn about and experience the sourcing of venison & game, from hill to plate. The shooting day prize , is offering the winning Chef a taster and insight to the working day of a Gamekeeper in the spectacular deep forests in Sweden.
