At Highland Game only top quality packaging is used to ensure our supreme quality Venison arrives ‘Direct to you Door’ in perfect condition.
All of our venison goods are vacuum packed individually to guarantee ultimate freshness.
After extensive qualitative market research, packaging trials and transport tests, the ‘Gourmet Food Box’ from Soft box Systems was chosen.
Our ‘Gourmet Food Box’ is customised and purpose built for our vacuum packed products. The transport box consists of an outer logo printed carton and an inner foam liner made of Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) that maintains the required cool environment for a minimum of 24 hours.
LDPE is the most recycled plastic in the world and is 99% oil based and when incinerated burns cleanly and efficiently, giving off only a little CO2 and water.
Ice Packs ~ Like the liner and outer, our ice-packs are also produced from 100% recyclable environmentally friendly materials. They are perfect for keeping food fresh and cold. The ice-packs are sterile and regularly tested to make sure they are food safe and hygienic. They are disposable or re-usable – simply wash and refreeze.
It was a corporate decision to use an environmental friendly packaging solution that was manufactured from 100% recyclable materials.
