Another successful community event was organised by Forestry Commission Scotland with Cat and John Franchetti taking the stage once again.

Plenty of visitors came to buy and get into the Christmas spirit.

‘Roe Deer Tagine’ with seasonal spices was served. Meatballs, in a tomato sauce was also served with pasta and several kids were begging their parents to keep buying them.

“Delicious! Mum can we have some tonight please?“ So simple, tasty, affordable, something that is within most folks ability and budget. Cat & John pointed out that the venison meatballs can be quartered when cooked for tiny tots to make it go further. The meatballs also flatten to make yummy Christmas party food ‘venison patties’ for entertaining and children’s parties.

Sausages could also be sampled AND the venison steaks won the fastest demo and taster session of the day title, no time to share, gone in a flash. The visitors were super impressed and influenced by the quality and flavour - so were the demonstrators.

Hot mulled apple juice, was a good winter warmer that allowed Cat & John to engage with the families and the visitors to enjoy their day and stop for the warm venison tasters.

Thank you Cat, John and Forestry Commission Scotland for yet another venison ambassador day. We wish you a lovely Christmas and New Year!
